On Saturday I had the opportunity to put my Velveeta and Yellow Tail away with childish things and attend the Southern Artisan Cheese Festival in Nashville. It was the third year for the festival and my first time attending. I struggled keeping my expectations at bay beforehand, but, fortunately, they were met, if not exceeded. With family and friends in tow, we were able to sample a large variety of cheeses from Southern cheesemakers as well as other handcrafted foods and brews from regional artisans. Little shoutout to some of my favorite vendors in attendance: Blackberry Farm, Bathtub Gin, Lusty Monk, and Yazoo (obviously). Already looking forward to the event’s fourth year!
